AIMS

The aim of the course is to improve the quality of teaching of Pre-FRCR candidates in preparation for their examinations.

PREPARING FOR THE COURSE AND CPD INFORMATION

Some useful information to help prepare to examine candidates on the course is given here

The Assessors course has been ongoing for around a year and it involves examining 4 sets of pre-FRCR candidates on the South West FRCR 2B course.

Attendees are awarded 2 RCR CPD points per day (4 CPD points for both days). In order to qualify for CPD, you will need to attend the lecture (1 CPD/day) and the other CPD point will be gained during the course getting feedback from an assessor and learning from your co-examiner. The assessors will watch your examining/assessing technique at  one of your viva sessions and give you feedback after a session.

Dr Liam McKnight (recently retired Head of the RCR Examinations Board) and Dr Stephen Hayward (recently retired RCR Examiner) have been previous lead trainers on this course.
